Research Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Assistant Position on EcoFoodSystems Project

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed-term position as a Research Monitoring Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Assistant with the EU/IFAD-funded EcoFoodSystems project in the research group of Prof. Charles Spillane within the Agriculture & Bioeconomy Research Centre at the Ryan Institute at the University of Galway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the providing expert support to Research Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning work in the overall project, under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators, to support the design, development and implementation of high quality and robust monitoring, evaluation, learning and communication processes and systems to generate research and innovation outcomes that are critically reflective, analytical and impactful.

EcoFoodSystems PostDoctoral Researcher

Full-time fixed-term position as a PostDoctoral Researcher for the EU/IFAD-funded EcoFoodSystems project in the research group of Prof. Charles Spillane at the Agriculture & Bioeconomy Research Centre, Ryan Institute at the National University of Ireland Galway (University of Galway).

PhD degree and experience in food systems, data analytics or equivalent, relating to food systems transitions and transformations. Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills that are integrative, interdisciplinary, systems thinking based and participatory (i.e. co-creation, multi-stakeholder platforms etc) in relation to sustainable food systems transitions in developing countries are required.

Research Admin & Operations Assistant

A full-time fixed-term position as a Research Assistant for the EU/IFAD-funded EcoFoodSystems project in the research group of Prof. Charles Spillane within the Agriculture & Bioeconomy Research Centre at the Ryan Institute at the University of Galway. Desirable to have a degree in business, accounting, administration and/or project management, with interdisciplinary research project management experience. Excellent data management and technical report writing skills with excellent financial and budgetary skills. Relevant experience in project administration and management of large multi-partner and multi-country agri-research programs (e.g. for international development donors). Willingness to travel to partner countries for project coordination and activities.
